I could go on and on about how the CD reflects their musical diversity and maturity as a whole collected theme, but then I would be saying pretty much what every other music critic (not that I claim to be one), has been raving about for the last 24 hours.

So, I say to you: The CD is fucking awesome. Maybe not as awesome as Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, but dammit, this is a GOOD album amid a myriad of crap put out by shitty emo/screamo bands. Comparitively, this is a gold nugget in a septic tank. So go buy it, or download it. Whichever.

Moving on!

It hit me the other day that I've been playing Kingdom of Loathing for FIVE YEARS. That's longer than it takes to get a Bachelors degree (most of the time). Think about it. Five fucking YEARS. The game was created in 2003. I started playing in 2004. I missed the fucking infinite meat bug by like, a month. During this time, I've been in multiple clans, including whitelisting for several clans I still occasionally visit, made millions of meat, /baleeted some people, ran a clan, had my account hacked, told people off, wrote for KoL Coldfront, and met many...many...many awesome people, including my wonderful girlfriend of over a year now.

This is kind of a shout out to everyone who I've played with or run across me or bought anything from my store. Thanks guys. There's not anything else I've been doing for 5 years straight (except maybe breathing, and I missed 2005 Crimbo).

I promise that the rests of my posts won't be so happy, but you guys really are like a big, fucked up, ecletic family.

A Ghost Is Born

le.The title of this blog entry is kind of appropriate, for a number of different reasons, number one being that a brand fucking new Wilco CD comes out tomorrow.
I love Wilco, I really, really do.
Unfortunately, I'm not going to pretend to know what the name of the CD is, and since I'm too lazy to find out until tomorrow when I wander over to Guestroom to purchase it, you'll just have to remain in suspense.

Or email me.

But I think my way is more fun.

Anyway. Monica finally convinced me to start reading a webcomic called "Questionable Content", after probably the third or fourth time she shared the link with me. All I really have to say is: Where the fuck have I been since 2003?
I hate to sound the stereotypical indie "your favorite band sucks" hipster, but holy fucking shit.
The damn comic reads like it was WRITTEN for me >.<
Which is probably the intent of the author, geared toward indie hipster kids, but STILL.

It almost makes me either want to start punching myself in the kidneys for being so stereotypically indie hipster. Thank god I like non shit rap and whatever Monica happens to be suggesting for that week.

I also hate Pitchfork and most people who work at independent record stores (which is one of the reasons I like Guestroom so much. They're just pretentious enough to remind me I don't know shit about music, but not so much that I want to strangle each and every one of them).

I should have done this at the beginning of the entry, but I'm sorry for how convoluted and bitchy this post is. Especially regarding music. I've been read QC for the past three days straight practically, and what can I say. The indie hipster has been brought out.

I need to go play some video games. There'll be a new entry later, because there's a lot on my mind, and I haven't updated this in a while.

I leave you with this.

Country really does suck.

Hello Babies, Welcome to Earth

Although it probably won't be.
For arguments sake, as so that, in effect, I haven't lied to you, the faithful reader, we'll all pretend that it is an entry.

Unfortunately, for your sake, I have no idea what to write about.

You see, I haven't written in a blog in nearly five years. Add to that two years of high school english which effectively destroyed my ability to give a shit, and you have a brain that is filled with all sorts of strange and wonderful thoughts, yet has no way to pen them to paper.

My days are for the most part uninteresting.

I sit around, I talk to my girlfriend, I play Kingdom of Loathing, and occasionally manage to put pants on.

Oh, and I work too.

There will probably be a lot of entries about work.

I'm a key holder at a place named Gamestop.

You might be thinking to yourself, "Oh, bad ass! He works at Gamestop!"

I can assure you, friend, it isn't all it's cracked up to be.

For those of you in a band: You know how you know how to play every song ever written, no matter by who, when, where, why, or even if it's mildly in the same genre as yours?

It's like that, except with less drugs and groupies.

But that's a post for another day.

I think I figured out a point for this entry.

Hello

Nice to meet you.

My name is Brian, and I am an inhabitant of the planet Earth, in the Milky Way Solar System, in a galaxy which may or may not have a name, which in turn is located in an ever expanding (or contracting, depending on who you talk to) universe.

I have a wonderful girlfriend with whom I have recently celebrated a one year anniversary, I play way too many video games, I think about things way too hard, and I believe that your favorite band probably sucks.

Feel free to prove otherwise.

I'm a Humanist.

I'm a lover.

I'm a scientist.

I'm emotional.

I am me.

So, welcome to the blog.

Have a nice stay.

This is a test.
This blog will explode in 10 seconds.

Have you said your good byes?

Tell Mr. Trout he will be sorely missed.
